Format and Scoring:

  • There will be 3 weeks of sets at FTG and Clayton that count towards scores. The first set each week at FTG (Monday) and Clay (Tuesday) will consist of 10 competition boulders, completing these boulders will earn points towards the social series. These boulders will only count towards scores for 1 week, until the next competition set takes over. Thursday and Friday will be regular sets and won’t count towards scores.

  • The fourth week there will be no competition sets on Monday or Tuesday. On Friday June 19th there will be a Pumpfest held at Clayton, with your top 6 scores counting towards your total and winners being the top 3 competitors on each category’s ladder at the end of the pumpfest. To compete in the Pumpfest a competitor must have logged boulders in at least 2 of the 3 weeks.

  • Competitors will self score through the beta bud app.

Each of the 10 boulders in each set will be assigned a grade (hidden from customers), and will be worth an amount of points equal to its grade x10. There will be 1 point deducted per attempt (ie. a Grade 8 is worth 80 points to start, second go 79, third go 78 and so on).

To incentivise travel between the gyms, all 20 boulders per week will count towards total scores.

The top 6 scoring boulders in the Pumpfest round will be added to competitors’ totals.

Prizes:

  • Grand prizes provided by Madrock and Boulder Lab.
